The short version
What website development actually covers
Website development is the process of planning, designing, building and launching a website that a business can run and measure. At ScalEasy it covers five things: mapping the site structure around how your customer decides, designing the pages, writing the code, connecting the site to your payment, CRM and analytics systems, and setting up the technical groundwork that lets Google and AI tools find and quote you.
Most agencies stop at design and code. The last two are where the money is, and they are the two most commonly skipped.
Where things go wrong
Your website is probably fine. It’s just not doing anything.
Here is what we see most often. A business spends decent money on a website three or four years ago, it goes live, everyone is happy, and then nobody touches it again. Traffic comes in. Some of it leaves in eight seconds. The enquiry form works, technically, but the emails land in an inbox nobody checks. Ask which page brought in last month’s five best leads and nobody can answer, because the tracking was never set up.
Then there is the newer problem. A lot of your buyers are asking ChatGPT or Google’s AI summary instead of scrolling through ten blue links. Those tools pull from pages they can read cleanly and quote. If your site is a pile of images with text baked into them and no proper structure underneath, you are not in that answer. You will not see it in your analytics either, because the visit never happened.
We build with both in mind. The person reading it, and the machine deciding whether to mention you.

What’s included
Designed to sell. Built to last.
A site that looks great and sells nothing is an expensive brochure. We start with the number you are trying to move, then work backwards to the design.
UX & site structure
We map the site around how your customer actually decides to buy. Most sites are organised around the company's internal departments, which makes sense to you and to nobody else.
Design
Brand-native, and argued against the strategy rather than against whoever has the strongest opinion about the colour blue.
Development
Clean builds that hold up on a mid-range Android phone on 4G in a small town, because that is who is visiting your site.
E-commerce & replatforming
New Shopify or Woo storefronts, or moving off a platform that has stopped working for you without torching your rankings on the way out.
Integrations
Payment gateways, CRM, WhatsApp, shipping partners, ERP, analytics. The unglamorous wiring that turns a website into part of how the business runs.
Search & AI readiness
Schema, clean URLs, proper heading structure, real text on the page. Boring work, and it is what decides whether you get found.
Choosing a platform
Which platform is right for your business
| Shopify | WordPress / Woo | Next.js / Headless | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Product-led D2C brands | Content-heavy and lead-gen | Speed and search-critical builds |
| Setup time | 4 to 6 weeks | 6 to 8 weeks | 8 to 12 weeks |
| Starting cost | ₹1,50,000 | ₹80,000 | ₹2,50,000 |
| Maintenance | Low, platform-managed | Moderate, needs updates | Low once built |
| Team can edit | Yes | Yes | Partly, needs a CMS |
| Speed | Good | Depends on the build | Excellent |
Platforms
We pick the stack after we understand the business
Shopify
Full storefront builds for D2C brands. Custom themes, product pages built to convert, and the marketplace and logistics integrations Indian brands actually need.
WordPress & WooCommerce
For content-heavy and lead-gen businesses. Built so your team can update a page without calling a developer.
Next.js & headless
When speed and search are your edge. Static builds, near-instant loading, complete control over how the site is structured.
Landing pages
Single-purpose pages for a specific campaign, with tracking and A/B testing set up before the first rupee of ad spend goes out.
Who we build for
Industries we know well enough to have opinions about
Shopify storefronts wired into marketplaces, shipping partners and return workflows. We have watched RTO quietly eat margin on enough Indian D2C brands to design against it from the first wireframe.
Direct booking sites that reduce dependence on OTA commissions. Booking engine integration, seasonal content, and speed on mobile because most of those bookings happen on a phone.
Appointment flows, service pages built around what patients search for, and the trust signals that decide whether someone calls you or the clinic down the road.
Product catalogues, enquiry flows, and technical content structured for the long research cycle these buyers go through.
Location pages, Google Business Profile integration, and lead capture that works on a phone.
Why work with us
We stick around after launch
We market what we build
We run SEO and paid campaigns every day, so when we build a site we are the ones who have to make it perform afterwards. You stop adding things that look impressive in a design review and start removing things that slow the page down.
Design and development sit together
A lot of agencies design a site, throw the files at a developer and hope. Ours get built in the same conversation, so what you approve is what ships.
Sixteen years, 350+ projects
We have built for D2C brands, hotels, hospitals and local service businesses. We have seen how each of them fails, which saves you paying to learn it yourself.
Where we are
Built in Haldwani, working across India
We are based in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. That was not always the case. For most of the last sixteen years the work ran out of Delhi NCR, and in 2024 we moved operations here and kept every client.
Nothing changed except the pin on the map. We still build for brands in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Dehradun, and for clients in the UK and Canada. What did change is that businesses in Haldwani, Nainital, Rudrapur and Kathgodam no longer have to hire an agency six hours away and hope the calls get answered.

How we work
Four stages, and you know where you stand in each one
Strategy & UX
Goals, customers, a proper look at your competitors, then the sitemap and the paths people take to enquire or buy.
Design
Wireframes first, then full design. You review, we revise, we agree before a line of code gets written.
Build & integrate
Development, testing across devices, payments, CRM, analytics, tracking.
Launch & optimise
Migration, redirects, pre-launch checks, then we watch the data for a month and fix what real traffic reveals.

Testimonials
Proof,
Not Promises.

ScalEasy showed up exactly when we needed them. We'd come out of some rough months with our last agency, poor communication, zero business understanding, just noise. ScalEasy is the opposite. They get how we think, they get the market, and somehow they've made working together genuinely fun.
